Building a staircase up to the minerals may not be worth the ammo if your Driller can just dig a tunnel up to them. If you don’t have a Scout on the team, you’ll have to make a judgment call. Whenever you enter a new area, simply start tossing out platforms and ping the minerals with your terrain scanner to alert your Scout (or wait for them to ping you and ask for a platform). The most common and basic use for these platforms is helping your Scout safely mine high-up minerals. With your Platform Gun, you can create instant platforms on nearly any terrain.
